The Tuscarawas County Republican Central Committee is seeking resumes from individuals interested in serving as the Ward 2 City Council representative in New Philadelphia. This position will become vacant in January when Mitch Pace assumes the role of Tuscarawas County Commissioner.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Reside in Ward 2
• Be a registered Republican voter
Additionally, all applicants will need to take out petitions to run for the seat in the May 2025 Primary Election.

The New Philadelphia members of the County Republican Central Committee will meet on January 14, 2025, at 6 PM. The meeting will be held at the Tuscarawas County Republican Headquarters, 1053 State Route 39 West, New Philadelphia Ohio 44663. This meeting will be to interview and appoint the new Ward 2 representative. Contact Central Committee chairman Joel Day with questions.
