Doug Wills

I have served as Chairman of the Tuscarawas County Republican party for over 20 years. I volunteered countless hours for campaigns and party events at the local, state, and federal levels. I also assisted in bringing a presidential campaign to our county and converting Tuscarawas County into a key Republican county.

The Republican state central committee is the governing body of the Republican Party of Ohio and manages party operations throughout the state. The ORP Central Committeeman is responsible for maintaining open communication between the county parties and Ohio Republican Party, including attending events in all five counties.

Al Landis

Al Landis is a Republican Candidate for State Senate Ohio 31st District. He is currently serving his first term as a Tuscarawas County Commissioner


He is a native of Tuscarawas County having been born and raised in Dover.


His career has included 33 years with Greer Steel Company serving as an Inside Sales Rep, a District Representative, and in Sales and Marketing Management.

Representative Brett Hudson Hillyer

State Representative Brett Hillyer is serving a second first term in the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 98th District, which includes Tuscarawas County and part of Holmes County.

A lifelong resident of Ohio, Hillyer earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Akron and a Juris Doctor Degree from Ohio Northern University. He began private practice in 2011 at the Law Firm of Connolly, Hillyer & Ong and, in 2016, became an agent for Ohio Bar Title and Commonwealth Title.


Hillyer lives in Uhrichsville with his wife, Anna Marie, and their son, Hudson. In his free time, Hillyer is a waterfowl hunter, pheasant hunter and avid Lake Erie fisherman. For more information click here!
